Featuring Ranch Classes under updated WSASA Rules

Western riding has always been about skill, partnership, and tradition. In 2026, we’re bringing that spirit online with a new digital competition format that allows riders from across South Africa—and beyond—to showcase their horsemanship without leaving their home arenas.

🎯 Competition Format

• Classes Offered:  Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail, Ranch Reining, and Ranch Pleasure (more may be added)
• Judging Standards: Based on WSASA rules, updated for 2026 to ensure fairness, clarity, and alignment with international   standards.
• Entry Method: Riders submit video entries of their performances, filmed according to provided guidelines.
• Evaluation: Certified judges score each ride using WSASA’s updated score sheets, focusing on accuracy, fluidity, and horse‑rider partnership.

🌍 Why Online?

• Accessibility: Riders from rural areas or smaller clubs can participate without travel costs.
• Inclusivity: Opens doors for youth, amateur, and professional riders alike.
• Community: Builds a connected Western riding network across regions, sharing skills and celebrating achievements.

• Placings announced online with digital certificates and recognition.  -- There may even be a rosette and sponsored prize in the mail (well, courier)
